River Processes
The experience gained in the Grand Canyon and in Northern Arizona generally can be put to good use in understanding the timing and causes of regional erosion and deposition by streams of the area, especially in the last 10,000 years, the time when humans have been active here in substantial numbers. Some of the conclusions depart from the established canon, and may serve to illuminate certain thorny problems such as arroyo cutting.
